Hanover School District No. 28 is home to approximately 300 students Pre-12. With a four day week (Tuesday - Friday) and small class sizes (12:1), Hanover is a great place for students to learn. It is located in southern El Paso County between Colorado Springs and Pueblo. If you are interested in a rural lifestyle that is situated between two of Colorado’s major cities and only minutes from Fort Carson and Schriever Air Force Base, Hanover School District may very well be the place for you. Various housing options exist with new developments as close as a ten-minute drive along I-25 from Fort Carson’s Gate 20, and also a few miles from the district’s north edge on Peyton Hwy about 15 minutes north of Hanover Campus. (See the map below.)
Hanover District has two campuses – the original Hanover Campus (Pre-12th) and Prairie Heights Elementary (K-3rd). Hanover’s original campus (17050 S. Peyton Highway) is located among ranch, prairie, and multi-acreage properties 17 miles south of Highway 94 and about 15 miles southeast of Fountain. Hanover Campus has a Pre-5th elementary school, a 5-year-old Middle/High School facility (6th-12th), and a Pre-12th library/administration building. Prairie Heights Elementary (7930 Indian Village Heights) is located within a fifteen-minute drive south of Fountain among several rural housing developments situated west of I-25 that first began growing in the late 1990’s. Prairie Heights Elementary consists of the two-year-old original masonry building and two recently added modular buildings. Mission:The Hanover School District No. 28 shall strive to provide a safe environment, meaningful opportunities and innovative educational programs for all students so that they reach their learning potential, including that they meet or exceed state and district content standards, through partnerships between home, school and the community. |
